Welcome to the template for a Pokémon page. It's meant to provide you with a skeleton for a Pokémon line page, complete with all that pesky wikitext formatting. The thing directly below is ready to use, just copypaste and fill it.

For those of you who'd like a detailed explanation, scroll a bit down and you'll see pretty much the same template, only filled with comments explaining how everything works. Don't worry - you can also copypaste that entire guide-template and delete the explanations later. Even if you miss one and it makes it to the final cut, it won't show up anyway - everything between <!-- and --> will not appear on the final page. Except for the contents of the infoboxes, but you'll see if something's not filled.

For Pokémon X/Y, as well as Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire, a variant of all three infoboxes was created - PokeboxM, Pokebox2M, Pokebox3M. They gained five additional fields for describing the Mega Evolution. They are covered in this guide, but if you feel it's too convoluted, you can always refer to the pages of those templates for some hints about the syntax. Of course, the original Pokeboxes also have those hints, you can find them in the pages: Pokebox, Pokebox2, Pokebox3.

Empty template

Make sure you're using the Pokebox and statbox you really want.

<!--This is the panel with tabs for the different games. Just delete those for the
games where that Pokémon doesn't appear. The fields marked with tab1 and tab13
should not be removed - tab1 stores the link to the main page for a line, while
tab13 provides the "to be reviewed" stamp, its presence there automatically moves
the page to Category:To be reviewed. The reviewers and admins will handle the rest.
Of course, if you want to add something, go for it.-->

<!--This is the main infobox. It comes in three variants - Pokebox, Pokebox2,
Pokebox3. The difference? The number of Pokémon in a line. If it's 2 or 3, just
copypaste the arguments from Pokemon1 to the end and rename them so they'd have 2
or 3. Of course, Pokebox2 doesn't have "Evolution2" and Pokebox3 doesn't have
"Evolution3", as the final 'mons don't evolve. If you have a Pokémon that doesn't
have evolutionary relatives, use Pokebox (without any number) - its variables also
aren't marked with numbers. I provided all three, along with the necessary
explanations put in Pokebox2. Choose the one you need and delete the other two.

Important note: Generation VI introduced Mega Evolutions. As described earlier,
there are three new infoboxes: PokeboxM, Pokebox2M, Pokebox3M. To use them, add the
letter M to the name of the Pokebox and add the fields that have M at the end of
the name. I'll use the basic Pokebox to demonstrate. -->

that line before you start proving your point.-->

== Important Matchups ==

<!--Here you list all the bosses, major opponents, or significant threats
you'll have to face while playing and how that Pokémon line fares in those
battles. Below you have an example of entries for a Gym Leader or a boss.
Don't worry about keeping the convention to the smallest detail - as long as
it's comprehensible and includes the necessary information, it's fine. The
reviewers will probably change it anyway, if it's lacking.-->

<!--This section is dedicated to Pokémon that have good synergy with the subject
of the analysis. All Pokémon have weaknesses; most weaknesses can be covered by
the Pokémon's teammates, though, which is what this section is for. Good
teammates to recommend will usually supply for what the analyzed Pokémon lacks,
not just in terms of weaknesses but also raw stats; for example, glass cannons
go better with tanks than with other glass cannons, and physically-oriented
Pokémon go better with specially-oriented ones as they can cover different roles.
List all your suggestions, and don't forget to add the reasoning behind them!-->

<!--Repeat the part below (between this comment and the next one) for as many

* '''What Nature do I want?''' <!--For Gen III and later, tell us which natures
can make that line good, and which ones hinder it too much. Of course, you can't
(reliably) manipulate them, but it'll provide a good insight for whether you
should take, e.g. a Pokémon A with Adamant or Pokémon B with Jolly for a certain
role in your team.-->

* '''Which Ability do I want?''' <!--For some lines with more than one ability,
usually one is better than the other. Which one?-->

* '''At what point in the game should I be evolved?''' <!--In some cases it's
better to postpone the evolution, maybe to get a certain move sooner, or because
the evolved form might have problems around that part (for instance, if you
evolve your Nidorina/o before Misty, it gets a weakness to Water). In other
cases, you might want to speed up with the grinding and evolve if you want to
use that Pokémon against a certain opponent, and the lower form is just too
weak.-->

* '''How good is the [first stage name] line in a Nuzlocke?''' <!--Sum it up. The
person reading the page might want to skip directly to a conclusion like this one.
It's sad that they'd miss out on the rest of the analysis, but well, it happens.
Don't repeat everything you just said, but provide some commentary.-->

source of the weakness, like it's with Dry Skin-->

a data source, don't be cheap.-->

becomes different through other means, make two different type effectiveness lists.
For example, call the first "Eevee's type matchups:" and the second one
"[Eeveelution]'s type matchups:".-->

<!--Also, don't worry if you make a mistake or don't do something I stated
above. The team of reviewers will handle it and won't be mad at you.-->
